Mark is a Principal in Scheffel & Company, P.C. He is responsible for providing accounting,
auditing, tax and consulting services to general contractors, subcontractors and constructionrelated
suppliers and professionals. Mark’s duties include final review of audited, reviewed, or
compiled financial statements, as well as final review of construction entity income tax returns.
Other construction related services include performing consulting, agreed-upon-procedures engagements and
business valuations for construction clients. Mark is a member of the Illinois Society of Certified Public
Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Construction Financial Management Association
and Southern Illinois Builders Association. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Quincy University
in 1993 and has been a CPA since November 1994. Mark is President and past-treasurer of the Highland Area
Community Foundation. He is a member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Advisory Board, a member of the Highland
Rotary Club and past-President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Highland Jaycees.
